Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following circumstances...
- The pet is fit and healthy. Grooming that takes place on an elderly or infirm pet will be at the owner's risk.
- In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize The Prefurred Groomer to contact the nearest Veterinarian and authorize the Vet to treat the pet as necessary at your expense.
- We do NOT offer anal gland expression, as this should be performed by a licensed veterinarian
- Nail cutting and ear cleaning are part of the service unless the process is too stressful for the pet or too dangerous for the groomer.
- “De-matting" or complete coat removal will dramatically alter your pet's appearance. This procedure may expose pre-existing health/skin problems for which The Prefurred Groomer cannot be held liable.
- We do not subject dogs to the painful process of all over de-matting. It is cruel and unrealistic to expect your dog to endure this. We will need to do a full clip to allow your dog to start fresh. You will need to sign a matted dog release form prior to the start of your groom.
- All prices, without having personally assessed your dog, are an estimate only and are subject to change at groomer's discretion. Extra charges may apply due to excessive matting, extra time grooming or stylised trims.
- If your dog shows aggression during the grooming process, an 'Aggressive Fee' may apply. The safe application of a muzzle may also be necessary for a short amount of time for our safety.
- Pet owner understands, that due to policies and insurance regulations, NO ONE is allowed in the mobile grooming salon while a pet is being serviced.
- Photos and videos are regularly taken for social media purposes, please inform us if you do not want your dog involved.
CANCELLATIONS & "NO SHOWS"
- Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 48 hours notice. We reserve the right to charge 50% of the groom fee should you wish to reschedule.
- In the event of a family emergency or any other uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer has the discretion to waive the fee within the 48 hour period.
- The Prefurred Groomer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the client and the groomer.
- It is considered a "no-show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule. We reserve the right to charge the FULL grooming fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a "no-show".
- Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations. An appointment will not be rebooked until payment is made.
- The Prefurred Groomer reserves the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.
